Accident leaves one in critical condition in Delta County
DELTA COUNTY — A Gladstone woman is in critical condition following a crash in Delta County on Monday, Dec. 23.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office says 33-year-old Gladstone resident Trisha Heider was pulling off County Road 426 and onto US 2-41 when 34-year-old Bark River resident Jason Sanford, who was driving southbound, hit Heider’s vehicle.
The accident happened around 2:45 p.m.Heider was extricated from her vehicle by the Jaws of Life and airlifted to UP Health System Marquette, where she is listed in critical condition.The accident is still under investigation.
Delta County Sheriff’s Office deputies were assisted on scene by Michigan State Police, Escanaba Public Safety, Rampart, Valley Med Flight, Gene’s Towing and Delta County Central Dispatch.
