“CLAWS for PAWS” makes donation to UPAWS for every White Claw sold
MARQUETTE — Partying can always be fun, but partying with a purpose is even better.
DIGS Gastropub and Pike Distributors, Inc. are teaming up for a fundraiser to benefit UPAWS.
Although it’s the holiday season, the fundraiser falling just before Christmas wasn’t intentional.
“It was just kind of coincidence,” said Pat Digneit, co-owner of DIGS Gastropub. “We’ve been talking about it, and it just kind of fell nice in winter, in December to kind of kick off the holiday season. We always like to do fundraisers, but this one just kind of seemed fitting. It’s graduation weekend, the college kids are celebrating, so why not have a great time with them and make some donations to UPAWS?”
For every White Claw seltzer sold, DIGS Gastropub and Pike Distributors will each donate a dollar to UPAWS.
The fundraiser will take place all day Friday, from 11 am to 2 am.
Having this fundraiser right before NMU’s graduation is especially beneficial, since many college students will be out celebrating commencement.
If a success, which is likely, the hope is to continue this fundraiser for years to come.
