Ishpeming American Legion hosting Honor Flight benefit dinner show

ISHPEMING — The Ishpeming American Legion Post #114 will be hosting a dinner show on Saturday June, 29th with all of the proceeds going to support the Upper Peninsula Honor Flight. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased at the American Legion, or if you’re coming from out of town, there are other options for getting to the show.

“I also do have tickets for sale at the chamber of commerce, and if anyone is coming from L’Anse, they’re also at the American Legion post there,” said Penny Strongman, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. “And I do have a will call sheet set up, as the event gets closer and you cannot mail your money, we’ll have them at the door for you.”

Along with a delicious spaghetti dinner, those in attendance will experience a show put on by Doug Allen Nash, a musician who has toured all around the world, as he performs his Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond Tribute Show.

“This is a track show,” said Nash. “It’s myself and we’ve got videos of my time with John Carter Cash, with our original song ‘June.’ And it’s a fast paced show, and it’s a lot of crowd involvement, I’m out in the crowd a lot. And it’s just a great time. It’s a feel good show.”

The doors will open at 6 p.m., and for more information you can call the Legion at (906)486-4074.
