3-vehicle crash leaves no injuries, one in custody for high BAC

MARQUETTE — Earlier tonight at around 5:30 p.m, Marquette County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash near the intersection at US–41 and Commerce Drive, just outside of Marquette.

Upon arrival, it was found that two vehicles were stopped on US–41 for a red light at the Commerce Drive intersection.

A third vehicle, a green Ford passenger car driven by a Marquette female, failed to stop at the red light, and rear–ended the red pickup that was stopped near the intersection.

The pickup truck was propelled forward, into a third car, which was also stopped at the red light.

After investigation, it was determined that the Marquette female operating the green Ford passenger car was under the influence of alcohol.

She was promptly arrested and lodged in the Marquette County Jail for operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor–high blood alcohol concentration.

The incident remains under investigation.
