2 House Fires in the town of Gladstone

GLADSTONE — There were two fires in Gladstone over the past two days.

No injuries were reported in a house fire in Gladstone on Monday, June 3.

Gladstone Public Safety Department, along with the Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department, responded to a house fire at 1311 Delta Avenue.

Public safety reported that the fire was found on the second floor of the home, but was able to be extinguished. The house did have smoke and fire damage after the incident.

No other details have been released and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Escanaba Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.

While on Tuesday, June 4 the Gladstone Public Safety Department and the Gladstone Volunteer Fire Department with assistance from the Escanaba Township Fire Department responded to 608 Blackwell Ave for a reported house fire.

The fire was located in the attic area. The fire was extinguished and there was smoke and fire damage to the home.

The cause was determined to be electrical.

No injuries were reported.
