Marquette Breakfast Rotary Club awards $49,500 to local youth organizations

MARQUETTE — 29 Local organizations are getting some help, thanks to grants from the Marquette Breakfast Rotary Club.

In a presentation at the Ore Dock earlier today, $49,500 total was given out to local organizations that focus on youth development.

“So our grants committee, when they got together, decided that the organizations that we’re giving our funds to were going to be the best stewards of the dollars we raised each year through our annual Fish Boil Fundraiser,” said Scott Knaffla, president of the MBRC. “So our hope is that with those dollars, they’re doing their best part to give back to the community organizations.”
