Blessings Barn sells vintage goods for a good cause

ISHPEMING — Re-purposed antiques make for a great gift for any occasion, even if you get those antiques from a barn.

The Blessings Barn in West Ishpeming has plenty of vintage gifts to offer for everyone, in a unique location.

“We started it last fall, and it’s just a group of moms that all like to vintage and thrift and re-purpose,” said Josie Thomson, a member of the Blessings Barn. “[We] paint furniture and things, and we just wanted a space that we could all do that together, and this is kind of what happened.”

The pop–up rummage shop uses a portion of proceeds from each sale to donate to a local charity or cause.

For this event, which continues into tomorrow, the moms are donating to the Ishpeming Carnegie Library’s summer reading program.
