Marquette City Commission and Presque Isle Park Advisory Committee discuss Presque Isle Park’s Use Policy

MARQUETTE — The Marquette City Commission and Presque Isle Park Advisory Committee held a joint work session in Marquette this late afternoon.

Their goal tonight was to get public input and to come up with ideas to figure out the best path for Marquette resident’s dealing with the Presque Isle Park’s use policy.

Different issues were discussed about Presque Isle parking including the traffic congestion, disruptive events and recreation, animals, and mobile food vendors.

The Presque Isle Park Advisory Committee and The Marquette City Commission has been reviewing different proposals and solutions to reduce any of these issues.

They hope to gather more data about Presque Isle usage.
