Individuals arrested and charged in Manistique for crimes involving meth
SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTY — The Manistique Public Safety Officers and the Public Safety K-9 Unit conducted a narcotics investigation in the City of Manistique.
The investigation started this past Thursday around 7 PM at 250 North Maple Street. The investigation resulted in two Schoolcraft County residents and a Gladstone, Michigan man being arrested on various charges including delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine, use of methamphetamine, assault/resisting/obstructing a police officer and maintaining a drug house. Officers also found four children present in the residence and they were taken into protective custody and turned over to the Michigan Department of Child Protective Services.
All three adult suspects were lodged in Schoolcraft County Jail subsequent to arrest.
Tyler Robert Glasscock, 28, of Gulliver, Michigan was charged with controlled substance-delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine (felony-20 years and/or $25,000), and controlled substance use of methamphetamine (misdemeanor-1 year and/or $2,000). Glasscock was arraigned in Schoolcraft County District Court on March 22 and his bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.
Jesse James Tahash, 25, of Gladstone, Michigan was charged with controlled substance-delivery/manufacture of methamphetamine (felony-20 years and/or $25,000), and assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer (felony-2 years and/or $2,000). Tahash was also arraigned in Schoolcraft County District Court on March 22 and bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.
Raquel Rene Vanderville, 28, of Manistique, Michigan was charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer (felony-2 years and/or $2,000) and controlled substance-maintaining a drug house (high court misdemeanor- 2 years and/or $25,000). Vanderville was arraigned in district court on March 22 and bond was set at $15,000 cash or surety, allowing 10%.
The preliminary hearing for all three individuals is set for April 10 at 10:30 AM in district court.
Public Safety officers also received assistance in this investigation from the Schoolcraft County Sheriff’s Department and Sault Tribal Police Department.
The investigation into illegal narcotics activity in Manistique and Schoolcraft County continues and no further details will be released at this time.
