Preparing for after-Christmas returns and exchanges

MARQUETTE — Christmas might be over, but the shopping continues for many.

Retailers, like Getz’s in downtown Marquette are preparing for the after–Christmas returns and exchanges, as well as the end of the year sales.

According to a new study by the National Retail Federation, 58% of holiday shoppers say they expect they will need to return or exchange holiday gifts this year.

Getz’s understands that you don’t always get the perfect gift for that someone.

So before you head to the store and return your unwanted gift; remember to have your receipt on hand to make the process smoother.

Getz’s is also extending their return policy.

“Generally we have a 30 day return policy, but we know especially for people who are a little ahead of the game. We extended our policy out to February 1st. So any purchases in December have until February 1st for return or exchange,” said Keith Dickson, General Manager.

On New Year’s Eve, Getz’s will be opened from 10–3 and plan to be closed on New Year’s Day.
