MARQUETTE — On 12-25-18 at 6:40 pm, officers from the Marquette Police Department responded to a Breaking and Entering complaint to a business on the 1100 Blk of N. Third St. Upon arriving on scene, officers discovered the suspect was still within the business. After attempting to flee officers the suspect was arrested.
The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Marquette resident, Luke Raymond Barabe. Felony charges were authorized by the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for Breaking and Entering with Intent, Possession of Burglar Tools, Malicious Destruction of a Building and Resisting and Obstructing a Police Officer.
Through additional investigation, it was determined that Luke Barabe was also the suspect in a Breaking and Entering of a business in the 100 Blk of E. Hewitt St which occurred on 12-24-18 at approximately 1:45 am. The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office authorized the following additional charges as result, Breaking and Entering with Intent, Receiving and Concealing – Stolen Property and Malicious Destruction of a Building.
Barabe is currently lodged at the Marquette County Jail.
