MARQUETTE — The YMCA of Marquette is hosting an event for the community to thank them for their support over the years.

Stompin’ Down the Debt is created for the YMCA to celebrate their fresh start, with a weight off their shoulders.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 6 from 5:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. and admission is $25 at the door.

“We’re out of bankruptcy now so the YMCA is here to stay, we’re not going anywhere” said Director of Personal Training, Travis Alexander. “But we’re just really trying to build a great event to have a thank you for the community for supporting us throughout the last several years and just have fun.”

Since the event is county themed so, country attire is optional.

There will be a pig roast, DJ, line dancing, and other fun events to celebrate and enjoy a great night with the YMCA.
