Two car personal injury accident on M-553
MARQUETTE — The Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputies, Michigan State Police, Sands EMS, and Sands Fire Department were dispatched to M-553 near Ridge Road regarding a two car personal injury accident.
The call came in at approximately 3:20 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2018.
17-year-old, Julian Beltz of Gwinn was driving a Chrysler passenger car northbound on M-553.
Beltz failed to yield for a vehicle stopping for a school bus.
Beltz’s car hit the car in front of him which was driven by 39-year-old, Jacqueline Clairmont of Gwinn.
Two occupants of Clairmont’s vehicle sustained minor injuries and were taken to UP Health Systems of Marquette for evaluation.
Beltz was sited on scene for failure to yield.
Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by Sands EMS, Sands Fire Department, and the Michigan State Police.
