Car accident caused by deer in road

MARQUETTE – The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is Investigating a one vehicle crash that occurred at 12:50 pm on County Road 550 just north of Little Garlic River.

58 year old Marquette resident, Leslie Cory, was traveling south on Co. Rd. 550 when she saw a deer in the road. In trying to avoid the deer she ran off the road into a ditch and then struck a tree.

The driver was transported to UPHS-Marquette for non-life threatening injuries. The sheriff’s Office was assisted by Marquette Township Fire/Rescue and EMS.

 

The crash remains under investigation.
