Collision involving a car and motorcycle on US-41

NEGAUNEE — Negaunee City Police responded to a car verse motorcycle personal injury at the intersection of US-41-EAST and Teal Lake Avenue at approximately 7:30pm this evening.

A black Jeep driven by 45 year old David Gill of Marquette entered the intersection and attempted to make a left turn onto US-41 -East. Gill failed to see an oncoming motorcycle driven by 37 year old Jason Perrault of Ishpeming who was also entering the intersection.

A crash then occurred leaving Perrault with minor injuries. Gill was found at fault and cited for failure to yield in an intersection.

Perrault refused treatment on scene and will seek his own medical treatment at a later date.

Negaunee Police were assisted on scene by Michigan State Police and ishpeming City Police. Negaunee City Fire Department and Bell EMS also responded to the scene.
