Huskies add pair of exhibition games to schedule

HOUGHTON – The Michigan Tech women’s basketball program has announced the addition of two exhibition games to the 2018-19 schedule. The Huskies will host St. Norbert on Saturday October 27th at 6 p.m. and then travel to NCAA Division I Eastern Michigan University Thursday night November 1st at 7 p.m.

Michigan Tech turned in another outstanding season a year ago, posting an overall record of 23-6 while winning the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Division regular season championship. The Huskies had an impressive GLIAC record of 17-3 and also made the programs 19thtrip to the NCAA Division II National Tournament. This year’s regular season schedule includes 12 home dates, with the home opener slated for November 16th against Minnesota State Moorhead.

The game against Eastern Michigan will be the fourth exhibition game against an NCAA Division I team in the past five years for the Huskies. Tech played at Green Bay in an exhibition game last November and in 2015 traveled to Michigan State to face the Spartans. Eastern Michigan was 11-20 a year ago and went 6-12 in the Mid-American Conference.

Michigan Tech basketball season tickets for the 2018-19 season are on sale now at the Central Ticket Office in the SDC (906-487-2073). In addition, tickets can be purchased online at buyhuskiestickets.com.

Basketball season ticket packages are $144 and include a reserved seat at all Huskies’ basketball home games during the upcoming 2018-19 season. The schedule includes 13 regular season dates and 23 total games. At just over $11 per date, fans receive a 20 percent discount off individual game tickets which are $14 apiece.
