MARQUETTE — The first session of acting summer camps with Superior Arts Youth Theater (SAYT) began on Monday, August 13.

The camps are an introduction to the SAYT program, where children get the chance to learn acting skills from reading scripts to learning how to move on a stage.

“The youth just have so much creativity. They’re willing to give it their all and they’re willing to play these kooky characters, where I’ve worked with other people and they’re more scared” said SAYT Executive Director, Jalina McClain. “I love working with the youth and showing them how to grow in their confidence through theater and how to become better people in our community through theater.”

There are 2 sessions left of the acting summer camps and they are Monday thru Friday for children ages four to 12.

The ways to enroll a child are online or walking-in on the first day of camp.
