Escanaba Marina hosting the annual Harbor Fest
ESCANABA — Get ready for food, music, and games at the Escanaba Marina.
Saturday, July 28, the annual Marina Fest will be hosted in the Escanaba Marina. Going on its 6th consecutive year, the fest is held to bring people to the harbor and enjoy summer.
“I wanted to bring the public down to the marina because it’s the city marina, it’s everybody’s marina, it’s not just the boater’s marina. This was a good opportunity to enjoy this beautiful spot we’ve got out here” said Marina Harbormaster, Larry Gravatt. “I want everybody to enjoy this beautiful spot out here. That was my motivation for doing this and it’s worked out well. It’s getting larger and larger every year.”
There will be different events taking place in the marina including a sail boat race, a bean bag tournament and multiple kids games.
The event will begin at 11 in the morning and end at 11 p.m.
It is also free for the public.
