ISHPEMING — The city of Ishpeming warmed up today for what is sure to be a fun 4th of July celebration.

The city held its annual Festival of Treasures on Tuesday. From Hematite to Division Street, tents lined the roads, boasting their local products and attractions for residents and travelers of all ages.

“The U.P. is full of rocks, so I take what I consider beautiful rocks form either the mine dumps or the shores of Lake Superior. I like it. It’s enjoyable. You never know, some people like my products, which are rock products, and other people could care less. And that’s fine with me. There’s something here at the show for everybody.”

The festival isn’t the last of big events this week. The city of Ishpeming will hold their annual 4th of July parade tomorrow at 10:30 A.M.
