Wash ‘N’ Wag raising money for UPAWS

MARQUETTE COUNTY — This Saturday UPAWS will be hosting an event at Tourist Park in Marquette to help raise money for supplies for the animals in the shelter.

Anyone is allowed to come and partake or help with the event. People will have an opportunity to have their dogs be pampered for the afternoon and even micro chipped.

The services do cost money which can range from $5 to $15; all of the proceeds earned through the event will be given to UPAWS.

“This event is a great way to bring in extra money to help with the day to day of the animals that are in the shelter,” said Chairman of the UPAWS Wash ‘N’ Wag event, Angela Hartman. “It really helps a ton and who doesn’t love loving on dogs? They are just so happy to just love on them for a couple of hours or however long they can handle it. We just enjoy it.”

The event will go from 11 am to 3 pm. For more information click here.
