The season will official begin on November 10 and 11 with the team travelling to Hillsdale College for the annual Great Lakes Valley Conference/Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Challenge.

NMU will then open the home slate with three straight games inside the Berry Events Center. On November 13, the Wildcats play host to University of Minnesota-Duluth and follows it on November 16 by hosting Minnesota State University and two days later, November 18, the team hosts Minnesota State University-Moorhead, who appeared in the NCAA Tournament.

The team heads to Concordia University-St. Paul to take part in a Thanksgiving Tournament November 23 and 24.

The first half of the season concludes with NMU hosting Lewis University, who is coming off an NCAA Tournament berth, on December 17.

After the new year, the team visits Wayne State University and defending National Runner-up Ashland University before returning to the Berry for five-straight home games. January 10 starts the action with a contest of LSSU and follows on January 12 with Ferris State University.

The following week, the Wildcats play host to Davenport University on January 17 and another NCAA Tournament team in Grand Valley State University on January 19. The home stand comes to a close on January 26 with NMU hosting rival Michigan Technological University, who also reached the NCAA Tournament.

After a weekend on the road, the team hosts SVSU, February 7, and Northwood University, February 9 for the final home games of the regular season.

The 2018-19 regular season concludes March 2 with NMU visiting Michigan Tech.

Despite an injury-plagued season the team made their seventh-straight GLIAC Tournament appearance in 2017-18 and expect the return of impact players lost to injury for 2018-19. With the team also returning nearly every minute played last season plus the addition of talented newcomers, the team will look to improve on their success and host a GLIAC Tournament contest.
