Escanaba Kiwanis Club donates new addition to Ludington Park

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Kiwanis Club has added a new addition to Ludington Park in Escanaba. The Kiwanis Club is approaching their 100th year in Escanaba.

The new music equipment was placed next to Harbor Hideout on Wednesday.

All of this was funded by the vendors that participated through the Home and Garden show that takes place at the fairgrounds.

This donation from the Kiwanis club greatly benefits the park.

“It’s a great asset to Ludington Park. As far as I know we are the only community in the area that has anything like this, in their park. We think it’s a wonderful addition. The kids can come down make some noise, bang on the drums. It’s not overly loud, but it does make some sound. The kids are really enjoying it,” said Kim Peterson, Recreation Director.

This new addition was installed just in time for summer.

The city of Escanaba encourages everyone to come out and enjoy the new park addition.
