MARQUETTE COUNTY — The Fred Waara Chapter of Trout Unlimited hosted the veterans from the Jacobetti Home to come out on a fishing outing at Lakenenland in Marquette County.

This event was set up to help get veterans outside to enjoy one of their favorite activities. Even some members of the community came out to help assist these veterans while they were fly fishing.

The volunteers wanted to give back to these men and women who served this country. But this activity does help these veterans find some peace within the world and allows them to enjoy the outdoors.

“I believe it is a spiritual experience,” said, Chair of Education for the Fred Waara Chapter, Herb Grenke. “I believe the beauty of nature, the awe that they feel for that and the solitude. All of those things, you know we need all of that but particularly guys who have been in war.
