Michigan Tech hockey spring carnival set for May 17th

HOUGHTON – Michigan Tech will host its fourth annual Spring Hockey Carnival at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena on Thursday, May 17, from 6-8 p.m. The event is free and open to people of all ages and will feature food, games for kids, raffle and door prizes, photo opportunities with the Jeff Sauer Trophy, and autographs with Huskies players and staff.

Youth are encouraged to bring their own hockey sticks to play floor hockey with Tech players. The Huskies will also run skill sessions, which will include a chance to shoot against Tech goaltenders.

A bounce house, video games on the arena’s video board, music and Tech’s mascot, Blizzard T. Husky, will also be part of the evening.

Vollwerth’s has donated 500 hot dogs which are available on a first-come-first-served basis along with free pop, and candy. Raffle prizes include University Images gift cards, discounts for Michigan Tech community programs, and items signed by the Huskies.
