Fashion and art show hosted at Gossard building

ISHPEMING — A fashion and Art show was debuting some art pieces out to the public and they had some locals come and present the art work on the runway.  The event took place Thursday at Gossard building in Ishpeming. The building and store owners hosted this show to help promote the small businesses that reside in the historical building.

These ladies all wanted to give back to the community by hosting a show for everyone to come and enjoy. All the stores in the building were able to present some pieces at tonight’s showing and these pieces of art were made for all ages.

“We have some talented artists that are day debuting a few new pieces,” said, Owner of UP Town Gifts, Karen Kyes. “As well as in the UP Town Gift store we are debuting some spring fashions that can reach teenage level to octogenarian (80-89 years of age), we’ve got all different kinds of fashions for all different shapes and sizes.”

This event will continue with other activities throughout the weekend, including a fresh flower bouquet arrangement that you can make for mother’s day this Saturday.
