Wanted subject from Wisconsin arrested in Iron Mountain

IRON MOUNTAIN — A suspect from Wisconsin was arrested by authorities in Iron Mountain Wednesday afternoon.

The Iron Mountain Police Department received information from Wisconsin authorities that a 38 year-old wanted male subject might have been staying at a residence on Norway Street in Iron Mountain. According to authorities, the subject was wanted for “Escape (Sex Offender Fail to Provide Information).”

The subject was located in the residence on Norway Street. The subject then jumped out of a second story window and fled westbound across US-2 on foot.

Officers pursued the subject and around 3:00 p.m., officers took the suspect into custody around North Milwaukee Avenue.

The subject is currently lodged in the Dickinson County Correctional Facility pending arraignment on local charges, as well as extradition back to Wisconsin. Local charges are expected to be filed after review of the formal complaint by Dickinson County Prosecutor Lisa Richards.
