Helping end hunger in Marquette
HARVEY, MI — The Ending Hunger Alliance of Marquette hosted an event today and it was in support of kids getting a good meal for the coming spring break. The group hosted this event at the Silver Creek Church in Harvey.
They had a taco dinner and invited anyone to come and partake in the event where they were raising money by selling tickets to be placed in a bucket raffle.
“So we have over $3,000.00 in items that will be in the bucket raffle and tickets can be purchased here. There are 36 tickets for $20.00 or a $1.00 per ticket, and 100% of the donations will go to food for the kids,” said, Founder and volunteer of Ending Hunger Alliance of Marquette, Theresa Sell.
This food will feed the kids and their families of KI Sawyer Elementary and Gilbert Elementary schools during spring break.
