MARQUETTE — Spring is officially here, and what better way to celebrate by enjoying local and Michigan–based products? The Marquette Home Brewers will host their 3rd annual Spring Ferment at Lakeview Arena this Saturday, March 24th.

The event will feature products from Michigan breweries, wineries, cideries, meaderies, kombucha and cheese makers. Limited tickets are available, and all proceeds will go towards local charities.

“A big part of what we do is we try and gear it towards education,” said Mark Hayes with the Marquette Homebrewers. “So we limit the ticket sales to 1,000 so that you can actually talk with the brewers, and talk about the products they have coming up, what’s on tap, or how they made their different products so you don’t feel rushed to get from brewer to brewer to try different things, you can actually take some time and talk to people and get educated on the products you’re drinking as well.”

Tickets are $35 online, and $40 at the door; tickets for designated drivers will be $5 dollars. The event will host food trucks and live music.
