Upper Hand Brewery to release new Light Lager, Upper Hand IPA

ESCANABA — Michigan’s Craft Beer scene is something to be desired. But sometimes it’s never bad to enjoy a lighter beer, straying away from IPA’s and Stouts.

Upper hand Brewery is releasing their new light Lager in April. It’s a shout out to the classic lager, with malt, yeast, water and hops. It’s not too heavy at 4.2 percent alcohol, but it still packs some flavor. Whether you’re a craft beer fan, or used to the nice easy taste of a simple lager, this beer packs the best of both worlds.

“It’s crisp, clean, refreshing, super drinkable. It’s a nice light beer,” said Upper Hand Marketing Coordinator Brandon Frisk. “Really, when we’re releasing this light beer and we’re also releasing out IPA, it kind of rounds out the rest of our beer portfolio.”

That’s right; Upper Hand is releasing their new Upper Hand IPA in July. At 7 percent alcohol, the different hops give this drink a juicy, piney tropical taste.

The extra addition will help give beer drinkers another option to consume at Upper Hand.
