UPDATE: Sunday, March 25th at 3:30 p.m.

After an extensive search by land, air and water, the remains of Raleigh Harrington were recovered in a heavily wooded area in Mackinac County. Although the investigation is ongoing, authorities say foul play is not suspected.

Harrington, a 25 year-old male from the St. Igance area, was reported missing by family on March 20th.

The Michigan State Police would like to thank the U.S. Coast Guard, United States Air Force, Civil Air Patrol, Mackinac County Sheriff’s Department, St. Ignace Police Department, Sault Tribe Police Department, United States Border Patrol, St. Ignace Fire Department, Allied EMS, Mackinac County Victim Services Unit, numerous local businesses in the St. Ignace area and a multitude of volunteer civilian searchers for their assistance.


UPDATE: Friday, March 23rd at 9:00 a.m.

Police are still searching for the missing 25 year-old St. Ignace man, and have released more information that may help locate him.

Raleigh Harrington is 6’1” tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

It is believed that he may have left a residence in the St. Ignace area riding a gray Giant brand mountain bike.


ST. IGNACE — The Michigan State Police St. Ignace Post is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person.

Raleigh Harrington, a 25 year-old male from the St. Ignace area, was reported missing by his family members. His last known contact was on the afternoon of Friday, March 16th in the St. Ignace area.

Harrington also has an apartment in the Petoskey area where he was last known to be on Thursday, March 15th.
