Camp considered total loss after fire
ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP — A camp on north Camp Road in Ishpeming Township is considered a total loss after a fire on Tuesday evening.
Around 6:37pm, the fire was reported to the Ishpeming and Negaunee Township Fire Departments, as well as Negaunee City fire.
Upon arrival, officials witnessed a structure fully engulfed in flames. The roof had collapsed when the first truck arrived to the scene.
Three occupants of the camp were able to get out safely with no injuries. The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
