Active Physical Therapy wins Internship Site Award

NEGAUNEE — Active Physical Therapy in Negaunee won the CTE Month 2018 Internship Site Award for Marquette County. Like Munising Memorial, the site provided a good experience for interns looking to enter the physical therapy field.

“I think it’s beneficial both ways, it gives them experience; hands–on, real life job experience before they go to colleges and decide what job they want to pursue,” said Jaime Green, a physical therapist at Active.

“The internship helped me a lot to understand what I have to go forward to do, and going into college, what classes I have to take, how much work it takes to become a PT,” said Luke Mattson, a student intern at Active. “I think it’s a great career choice and it’s a good thing to do.”

Interns like Mattson can really pursue their career goals while taking an internship in high school.
