Double Trouble DJs preparing for New Year’s Eve Ball Drop Bash

MARQUETTE — With just a few days before the new year begins, Double Trouble DJs is preparing to throw their third New Year’s Eve Ball Drop Bash at the Masonic Building. The party begins Sunday at 8:00 p.m. and will be followed by the ball drop at midnight.

This year, the party features three local bands and DJs all night long. All of the proceeds from the bash will be donated to the 906 Adventure Team, an organization that teaches kids to how to ride mountain bikes.

“We really like to give back to the community. We believe that if you take care of your community, your community will take care of you. So, it’s nice to be able to raise money and give it to organizations through different events over the years,” said Manager Denise Elizondo. “And also, we really like throwing parties, so it’s a good excuse to throw one.”

Tickets to the party are $10 per person until Saturday at 11:30 p.m. and $15 at the door. The party is for people ages 21 and up.

The ball drop on Washington Street is free for all ages. DJs will begin playing outside at 10:30 p.m.
