Sleigh ride awakens the spirit of the holidays
MARQUETTE — It was lovely weather for a sleigh ride together at Rippling River Resort in Marquette Thursday night.
Nearly 100 people enjoyed the inaugural holiday horse-drawn sleigh rides around the campground, ending at Marquette Mountain! The lodge at the Resort offered complimentary hot cocoa and cookies, a bonfire, and pictures with special guest, Santa!
The horses were provided by Heritage Hills, and were decked out with full Christmas wear. The magical ride ended with a dinner at Marquette Mountain.
“We have so many people that were interested – we sold out pretty much right away,” said Campground Manager, Joanna Emigh. “It’s been really fun to see the community just love this idea, and we’re really excited about it.”
Rippling River Resort says that they hope to continue the tradition, and do something like this again next year.
