MARQUETTE — UPHS Marquette and the Bay – Lakes Council have partnered up in order to give high school-aged students a chance to explore career opportunities in medical programs.

Learning sessions are hosted once a month, and give students a hands-on environment to see various career paths at the hospital, and area medical businesses. Tonight was the kickoff for the new program, exploring medical imaging like radiology, X-ray, and CT scans. Although the program has started, it’s not too late to sign up.

“They won’t have hands-on patients, but what they will have is hands-on departments, so they can really see how it functions – and get a good idea of how it works,” said UPHS Sponsor, Frances Finley.

Finley encourages those interested to reach out to the hospital, and take the first step in exploring future possibilities.
