MARQUETTE — Before you know it, lift lines will be long at Marquette Mountain. It’s time to think about your ski equipment for the season, and whether or not you need an upgrade.

The Superiorland Ski Club is holding their annual ski swap this weekend. Patrons will be able to trade in their old equipment and buy some equipment that is new to them.

“This kind of kicks off our season, and just gets people excited about winter and cross-country skiing,” said Debby Muskovitch, one of Superior Ski Club’s board members.

The Superiorland Ski Club is a non-profit organization focused on getting the youth involved in a sport that has captivated the Upper Peninsula.

“We just want Youth out there skiing, and we have scholarships available and rental skis for those that can’t find anything at the swap or can’t afford,” said Muskovitch.

The swap begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Holiday Inn on US-41 and goes until 1:15 p.m.
