Ladies Night, ‘oh what a night’ for Ishpeming

ISHPEMING — Yes, it’s Ladies Night and the feelings are right for customers and owners alike walking through downtown Ishpeming; where owners open their doors and deals for the public to sample. For some, this will be their first time experiencing the event, while others are veterans.
“I think we’re pretty excited, you know, just to get out on the map. We’re kind of tucked in, so we were really excited that we were asked to do it this year,” said Shannon Rogers, ‘Hair Hiatus.’
“It was really busy this morning and we had a large group come in for lunch today, so that was a nice bonus. This is my third year. I started a few years ago and I think I really got in under the wire that one year,” shared Pamela Perkins, owner of ‘Rare Earth Goods.’
These types of events are important to the community and also give small businesses a chance to get to know their customers.
“Well, you know, it brings new people in all the time and so if they come in for an event like this they’ll be back,” added Perkins.
“I think it’s the community saying they have a pulse on what’s going on and they care about the people in the community. A lot of the people are offering deals, so it’s a great time before the holidays to come in and shop local. Support the local businesses and in return the local businesses are rewarding you by giving you discounts and deals,” stated Carolyn Lindholm, owner of ‘The Boxcar.’
Ladies Night in Ishpeming is still going on until eight P.M. today with many different types of merchandise and services available. There are raffles, prizes, and giveaways all across the town.
So grab the gals while the men grab their pals and support small businesses in Ishpeming. You may even get some free hot chocolate.
