Gwinn School Board President resigns, superintendent retiring

GWINN — The Gwinn Board of Education met Monday night without one important member, president Ron Lauren.

According to The Mining Journal, Lauren resigned as school board president. The board voted Trustee Ashley Jenema to temporarily serve as president until the position is filled.

Superintendent Tom Jayne said he would be retiring in February, and he told The Mining Journal that his exit is strictly due to professional and personal reasons.
