Fire sparks at Kingsford restaurant

KINGSFORD — Kingsford Public Safety Department received a call for a fire at the Hong Kong Buffet on Carpenter Ave. on Tuesday, November 7th, around 6 P.M.

Officials from KPSD arrived on scene and pronounced a grease fire had reached the ventilation and spread. The fire was contained to the vent system by way of the fire suppuration system and no damage was reported.

The kitchen area of the restaurant was aerated and the scene was cleaned by 6:30 P.M.
