Road closures in effect starting Tuesday
NEGAUNEE/ELY TOWNSHIP — The Marquette County Road Commission has announced two road closures that will be in effect starting Tuesday, November 7th.
The first closure is County Road 480 at the bridge over the LS&I Railroad in Negaunee. This closure will begin on 8:30 a.m. Tuesday and remain in place until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 8th.
No traffic will be allowed to use County Road 480 between Healy Avenue and M-35 during the closure.
The second announced closure is for County Road 496 in Ely Township. The closure will begin at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday to repair the railroad track at the road crossing. For an alternate route, use County Road 496 southeast of Diorite.
County Road 496 will reopen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8th.
