ISHPEMING — With traces of snow on the ground there is no better time to ensure children everywhere have warm clothes, so The Foster Closet of Marquette County is looking for help.

If you are looking to re-purpose some of your children’s old clothes, blankets, or more consider donating for foster children. The organization will also take monetary donations; but to prepare children for the colder weather warm clothing is desired.

“When school starts we start giving out you know the coats, the snow pants, the boots and everything and foster parents do get some funding but it’s not a lot and sometimes it can take some time so when you think about everything kids need it’s not going to cover everything so we just really try to support the foster parents, ” said Cherish Ostola, Branch Manager.

If you cannot donate, The Foster Closet is looking for volunteers at their location in Ishpeming’s Gossard Building.
