Ashley Furniture Homestore hosts grand opening celebration
MARQUETTE — A grand opening ceremony was held this afternoon for the new Ashley Furniture Homestore in Marquette off of US-41.
The new location has been open for about six weeks now, but today, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held, along with appetizers and drinks. The only other Ashley Furniture Homestore in the UP is located in Escanaba, and has been serving customers for nearly 11 years.
The owners, Scott and Kelly Jensen, say that finding the site off of US-41 in Marquette prompted them to open another store, after years of searching.
“We’re a family owned company, we’re local people, we live here, and we hired all local contractors – they just did a great job finishing this project for us,” said co-owner Scott Jensen. “We’re thrilled to be done, and ready to be open.”
Scott and Kelly say to come and visit Ashley Furniture, as many deals and discounts are underway, including drawings that are giving away over $10,000 of furniture.
