ISHPEMING — Tuesdays are for Toddlers at the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library with reading, playing, and learning kids won’t want to miss.

Young children gather together at the library on Tuesdays for a reading program the library has been putting on for more than five years. There are two sessions for the program; one at 11:00 A.M. and another at 1:00 P.M.

“So this program is geared towards pre-schoolers and we read stories and it’s very interactive we do songs, flannel boards, and I usually try to do different things to get the kids involved. We usually have some kind of prop like scarves or egg shakers so really fun. There’s a lot of movement not a lot of sitting still,” said Children’s Librarian Heather Lander.

There are programs for all ages available at the library. For more information check their website or Facebook page.
