MARQUETTE — Around the world in any day at NMU’s Study Abroad Office, any and all students can travel and see ‘a whole new world’.

Studying abroad is important for anyone at any stage, the most ideal time being in college planning your career route and expanding your adult learning.

“They have shown and demonstrated through various studies over the last ten years that study abroad can contribute to a lot of the skills employers are looking for; critical thinking skills, enhanced ability to react flexibly and to work in a team whose thinking is different from yours. Those are all the top three job skills that I think you can gain from a good study abroad,” said Assistant Director of International Studies Susan Morgan.

The benefits for personal and educational growth are numerous and can be important to gain at any stage of life making travelling or studying abroad a trip worthwhile.
