NEGAUNEE — Furry, funny, and friendly is how we like our best pals and that’s exactly who you will find at the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter.

Luckily, if you do meet a new friend at the shelter on October 14th, the company Bissell will pay for your adoption fee. All kinds of animals are up for adoption and all are looking for their forever home.

“All the animals will be spayed and neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, and rabies immunization, health checked. We encourage you to go online and fill out the interest form and I will post that also on Facebook. There’s probably going to be a line so be prepared to wait, but everyone will be able to get in to enjoy the pets and if you find a lovely, furry friend Bissell will pay for the adoption that day, ” said Ann Bronwell, UPAWS’ Outreach Coordinator.

The event starts at 11:00 a.m. and runs until 4:00 p.m. at the shelter. For more information, visit Bissell Pet Foundation’s website or the UPAWS website.
