ISHPEMING — ‘Night at the Museum’ typically reminds people of exhibits coming to life. Well, here in Ishpeming this evening, their will be a new sort of coming to life.

We got a chance to talk to Karen Kasper of the Ishpeming Historical Society about their event taking place at the Gossard Building in downtown Ishpeming. The event will be on the third floor of the building and will display relics of new and old qualities that represent this wonderful community.

The museum would also like to encourage the public to donate to a fund in honor of Kevin Bannon, who passed this year while waiting for a lung transplant.

“We have an exhibit on the anatomy of a murder, we have local exhibits on home life. Some of the immigrants, that came to this area, and exhibits on the bands including some of the artifacts from the ‘Ishpeming Blue Notes,'” said Kasper.

Included in the event will be refreshments from local businesses as well as fun and games for the whole family. The event begins Wednesday, September 27th, at 5:00 p.m. and runs until 7:30 p.m.
