No injuries in three car property damage accident
ELY TOWNSHIP — Marquette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a three car property damage crash around 5:30 p.m. Friday on County Road 581 near County Road CPA in Ely Township.
A southbound 2003 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by a 24 year-old male of Ishpeming turned eastbound in front of a northbound 2002 Chevy Silverado. The driver of the Silverado was a 17 year-old also from Ishpeming.
The Silverado then collided with a parked 2009 Chevy Silverado. This vehicle was unoccupied at the time.
No injuries were sustained as a result of the crash. The driver of the Dodge Ram was cited for failure to yield.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by Ely Township First Responders, Ishpeming Township Fire Department, UP Health Systems Bell EMS and Antilla’s Towing Service. The crash remains under investigation.
