Man arrested for two violent home invasions, one victim with serious injuries
MANISTIQUE — A Manistique man is in jail, facing several felony charges after assaulting two victims in two different home invasions.
Jordan Ramey, 19, was taken into custody last night after police determined he was the alleged culprit of two violent home invasions that occurred early Tuesday morning. Officers from Manistique Public Safety say the responded to a report of a violent home invasion and assault on the 600 block of Manistique Avenue around 11 am. They became aware of a second incident a few blocks away on Garden Avenue that led officers to the discovery of a second victim with serious injuries. That victim was transported to Manistique Memorial Hospital.
Ramey is facing four charges against him including one count of first degree home invasion, and two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder or strangulation, all of which are felonies. He was arraigned Wednesday morning in Schoolcraft County District Court and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on August 30. His bond has been set at $50,000
