All in the Barn prevention fundraiser approaching

CHATHAM — The Alger County Community Collaborative is continuing to raise funds for prevention efforts in the community.

The second annual, all in the barn event is coming up this fall and preparations are already underway.
Last year, the organization raised thousands of dollars and is hoping to double that amount this year.

“We’re really looking forward to really raising funds for prevention efforts because we strive on our community as a whole and as AC3, we just want to bring in the money so we can have more programs and training for our members,” said Alger County Community Collaborative Executive Board Member, Bobbi Ayotte.

One of these programs that will be in effect this school year is a new service that will be available in all four public schools in the county.

“We’ve recently made some investments back into the community in regards to collaborating with all four public school districts to hire a school social worker to service all of them. The money that we raised from this fundraiser as well as another one that we do, really continues to give it the sustainability it needs,” said Alger County Communities that Care Coordinator, Mary Jo’Hollaran–Torongo.

Tickets can be bought at several different locations along with online by clicking here. Included in the ticket is a dinner that includes farm to table food options provided by Rock River Farms, a silent auction, along with various other activities.

The fundraiser is on September 9th at the North Farm in Chatham.
