A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the opening of the Michigan based business. Meijer has one-hundred and thirteen locations in the state and the opening of the business in the U.P. is all part of a $375 million investment this year that includes the construction of seven new locations.

In honor of the opening of the store, both locations will be featuring special events beginning this Sunday. Construction of a Meijer location in Marquette is set to begin in the near future.
